Solar Bears forward heads to AHL for second time this season
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that rookie forward has been recalled to the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate.
Cameranesi, 23, leads Orlando’s rookie scorers with 28 points (15g-13a) and 18 penalty minutes in 43 games. The Plymouth, Minn. native has also added seven points (4g-3a) and eight penalty minutes in 28 games with the Marlies this season.
Cameranesi was originally a fifth-round selection (#130 overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The Orlando Solar Bears continue their fifth season of ECHL hockey when they battle the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
