ECHL ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

The ECHL annually selects its All-Rookie Team as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media, who were asked to select a goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards.

A rookie is defined as a player who has played in less than 25 professional games at the “AA” level or higher prior to the start of the current season.

ECHL SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

Presented annually to the player who is judged to have exhibited the best sportsmanship combined with a high standard of playing ability, as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media members.

TEAM AWARDS

SOLAR BEARS MVP AWARD

The Solar Bears MVP Award is presented each season to the Solar Bears player who has been adjudged to have made the biggest impact on his team's success.

SOLAR BEARS CLUTCH PERFORMER AWARD

The Solar Bears Clutch Performer Award is presented each season to the Solar Bears player who has been adjudged to find a way to elevate their game and deliver a rock-solid performance in some of the team's biggest moments.

DAN SNYDER MEMORIAL AWARD

Established during the 2012-13 season, the Dan Snyder Memorial Award is named in honor of Dan Snyder, a member of the IHL Orlando Solar Bears from 1999-2001 who was part of Orlando's Turner Cup championship squad. Snyder tragically passed away in October of 2003, six days after he went into a coma as a result of injuries sustained as a passenger in a single-vehicle accident. 

The Dan Snyder Memorial Award is presented each season to the Solar Bears player who best displays a commitment to hard work, perseverance and dedication.

ROB KENNY MEMORIAL AWARD

Established during the 2012-13 season, the Rob Kenny Memorial Award is named in honor of Rob Kenny, a member of the IHL Orlando Solar Bears during the 1998-99 season and helped the team reach Game Seven of the Turner Cup Finals that spring. Kenny tragically passed away in a car crash in July of 2010. 

The Rob Kenny Memorial Award is presented each season to the Solar Bears player who best displays a committment to the team's community service efforts in Orlando and Central Florida.
