Conacher returns to Solar Bears from Marlies

Rookie forward skated in three games for Toronto

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that rookie forward Shane Conacher has been reassigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate.

Conacher, 22, has recorded nine points (1g-8a) in 12 games with Orlando this season, and suited up in three contests with Toronto during his first AHL recall of the season.

The Orlando Solar Bears continue their fifth season of ECHL hockey when they host the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center on Saturday, March 4 at 7 p.m.

The Solar Bears will host their first-ever Noche Latina presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson on Saturday. The festivities will begin on Church St. starting at 5 p.m. with Rumba 100.3 FM and Telemundo on hand with music and games prior to the 7 p.m. puck drop. The Solar Bears will wear special Noche Latina jerseys to be auctioned following the game, and the presentation will feature Latin music and promotions throughout the evening. The first 3,000 fans to enter the Amway Center on Saturday night will also receive special Solar Bears thunder sticks.
