TONIGHT:The Orlando Solar Bears take on the Brampton Beast for the second time in as many nights at the Powerade Centre. The Solar Bears win last night over Brampton allowed Orlando to jump back into playoff positioning, as the team occupies the fourth seed in the South Division – Orlando is one point back of third-place Cincinnati with one game in hand on the Cyclones, who are idle today.

FAILLE APPROACHING 50 GOALS WITH ORLANDO:With two goals in Thursday night’s win, Eric Faille is now only three goals away from reaching 50 in his career with the Solar Bears. Faille became the franchise leader in goals scored earlier this season, and is also the team’s all-time leader in points with 122 (47g-75a) in 105 games.

PERRY PROVIDING CLUTCH OFFENSE:Despite only being credited with one shot on goal, Joe Perry made his mark on the scoresheet last night, tallying the eventual game-winner for Orlando in the third period. Perry’s goal was his fifth game-winner of the season, establishing a new team lead after previously sharing the mark at four with Tony Cameranesi.

SHOTS GALORE:Orlando’s first period last night showcased the high-octane style that drives the Solar Bears attack, as the team set a new season-high for shots on goal in the first period with 21, breaking the previous mark of 20 set on Nov. 21 vs. Missouri. Orlando continues to lead the ECHL in average shots for per game, with 37.88.

COMEBACK KIDS:With last night’s win, the Solar Bears lead the Eastern Conference with four wins when trailing after two periods on the road (4-10-1-0).
