Leading scorer for Solar Bears heads to AHL for second time in 2016-17
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Eric Faille has been recalled by the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate. It is the forward’s second recall of the season.
Faille, 27, currently is tied with Denver Manderson for the Solar Bears scoring lead with 42 points (16g-26a) and 24 penalty minutes in 38 games this season. Faille recently became the third player in team history to record 100 career points with Orlando, as he has 102 points (40g-62a) in 94 career games with Orlando. During his previous recall to Toronto in mid-December, Faille suited up in one game with the Marlies.
The third-year pro has skated in 176 total professional games, recording 172 points (76g-96a) and 49 penalty minutes.
The Orlando Solar Bears continue their fifth season of ECHL hockey when they face the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game at Germain Arena on Friday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
