Connor Gaarder returns to Orlando after stint in Germany
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Eric Faille has been reassigned by the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate, while forward Connor Gaarder has returned to the Solar Bears after playing overseas in Europe.
Faille, 27, was recalled by the Marlies on Dec. 18 and played that day in Toronto’s 4-1 win over the Albany Devils. He is third in team scoring for the Solar Bears this season with 29 points (12g-17a) and 12 penalty minutes in 26 games.
Gaarder, 25, agreed to terms with the Solar Bears on Sept. 13 and was part of the team’s Opening Night roster before joining Lausitzer Füchse of Germany’s DEL2.
The Solar Bears continue their fifth season of ECHL hockey when they take on the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Germain Arena.
