Maggio, Marchment recalled to Marlies
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Chase Witala has been reassigned to the Solar Bears from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. In addition, forwards Daniel Maggio and Mason Marchment have been recalled by the Marlies.
Witala, 21, has recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in three games for Orlando this season.
Maggio, 25, has posted two assists and added nine penalty minutes in five games for the Solar Bears.
Marchment, 21, has amassed three points (2g-1a) and registered two penalty minutes in five games with Orlando.
The Orlando Solar Bears will host their annual Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Tijuana Flats, when the Solar Bears host the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup match on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
All fans are encouraged to bring new teddy bears or stuffed animals to throw onto the ice when Orlando scores its first goal of the game. All fans who bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal will receive a voucher to a future Solar Bears home game. The teddy bears and stuffed animals collected will be donated to needy children through local charities during the holiday season.
