ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears (10-5-2-0) swept their three-game home series with the Brampton Beast (7-6-1-2) and extended their win streak to four games by way of a 5-4 victory on Monday night at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.

Orlando struck first early in the opening period when Tony Cameranesi sent a pass behind a Brampton defender off a 2-on-1 rush to Mason Marchment, and Marchment beat Andrew D’Agostini stick-side at 2:42.

Eric Faille then chased down a blocked shot and vaulted over a sprawled Brampton defender to bury a shorthanded goal at 5:09 to give the hosts a two-goal lead.

The Beast countered when Tim Billingsley let a shot go from the right point following a faceoff in the Orlando zone, and Connor Crisp knocked a loose puck past Kasimir Kaskisuo at 12:02.

David Pacan then banged in a rebound from Crisp for a power-play goal at 19:05 to draw Brampton level with the Solar Bears.

Both teams battled back and forth through the second period, but Orlando pulled ahead when Chris Crane recovered a loose puck in the neutral zone and made his way down the right wing before snapping a shot above the shoulder of D’Agostini at 19:05.

Crisp tallied his second of the game to draw Brampton level again just 41 seconds into the third period, but the Solar Bears pulled ahead once more when Denver Manderson buried a behind-the-net feed from Joe Perry at 5:27.

Patrick Watling sent a pass from the corner to the right circle, where Cameranesi made his way to the front of the net and sent a shot past D’Agostini’s glove at 6:16.

Pacan made it a close game once again as he went coast to coast and beat Kaskisuo at 9:19 to pull the visitors back to within one goal, but the Solar Bears hung on to complete the sweep and win the fourth consecutive game overall.

Kaskisuo earned the victory with 27 saves on 30 shots against; D’Agostini took the loss with 32 stops on 37 shots against.
