Orlando got an early lead at 2:06 of the first period when Patrick Watling batted home a Tony Cameranesi rebound past Zachary Fucale. Watling chipped in his second of the day when he teamed up with Eric Faille on a give-and-go sequence and beat Fucale at 19:13.
Brampton’s Brandon MacLean pulled the visitors level with Orlando in the second, as MacLean camped out in front of Ryan Massa to redirect a Mike Vernace point shot just 42 seconds into the middle frame, and then stole the puck off a faceoff and snapped a shot past Massa at 14:21.
Marchment finally pulled Orlando ahead for good at 14:21 when he collected the puck in the neutral zone and made his way down the left wing, beating Fucale stick-side for his first pro goal. Cameranesi sealed the game with an empty-net tally at 18:40.
