TODAY:The Orlando Solar Bears visit the Greenville Swamp Rabbits for the first time this season. Today’s match will be the first of three Thursday morning games played by Orlando in November – the remaining two include Orlando’s first-ever School Day Game, presented by Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m. and a Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. For The Swamp Rabbits, the game marks their first home match of the season after ice maintenance issues forced the postponement of their original opening weekend pair of games.
MANDERSON AND FINDLAY MOVING UP THE FRANCHISE LIST:Denver Manderson’s assist on Brett Findlay’s second period goal on Tuesday gave the pair 68 career points in a Solar Bears uniform, moving them past Mike Ulrich to take over joint possession of fifth place on the team’s all-time scoring list. Both would team up again later in the game to move to 69 career points. Eric Faille (65 points) and Johnny McInnis (64 points) are not far behind.
LEADING SCORERS BACK FOR SECOND HELPING OF RABBIT STEW:Both T.J. Foster and McInnis were two of three Solar Bears players to finish the 2015-16 series against Greenville with 10 or more points. Foster had 11 points and led Orlando with six goals against the Swamp Rabbits, while McInnis recorded 10 points (3g-7a) in nine games.
