Forward inks PTO with Dallas affiliate
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Ethan Werek has signed a Professional Try-Out Agreement with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
Werek, 25, has recorded three points (1g-2a) and two penalty minutes through two games with the Solar Bears since joining the team on Oct. 24.
Orlando has also placed forward Patrick Watling on reserve and has activated forward Bryan Moore and defenseman Jon Jutzi from reserve. Both players are expected to make their season debuts for Orlando tonight when the team hosts the Atlanta Gladiators at 7 p.m.
The zombie apocalypse hits the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center on Saturday, Oct. 29 as part of Zombies on Ice, presented by NYZ Orlando, when the Orlando Solar Bears take on the Atlanta Gladiators at 7 p.m. The night will include specialty zombie jerseys worn by your Solar Bears players, matching coozie giveaway to the first 3,000 fans in attendance and spine-tingling in-game entertainment.
The specialty zombie jerseys will be auctioned off following the game, and proceeds will be donated to Paws for Veterans.
We invite you to dress up in your best zombie and Halloween attire*, and face painters will be on hand to transform you and your friends into zombies!

The Orlando Solar Bears return home on Thursday, Nov. 10, when they host the Stingrays at 7 p.m. at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
