Solar Bears announce 2016-17 training camp roster and schedule

On-ice sessions begin Monday, Oct. 3 at RDV Sportsplex Ice Den

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears will open their fifth season of ECHL hockey with a two-week training camp - with on-ice practice sessions beginning on Monday, Oct. 3 - and has also announced its full training camp roster.

Orlando currently has nine players who have agreed to terms on ECHL contracts in training camp and five players attending on a try-out basis. Additionally, 12 players who have also agreed to terms with the Solar Bears are skating in training camp with Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.

The Solar Bears 2016-17 regular season opens against the Florida Everblades on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
