ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears (1-1-0-0) overcame a one-goal deficit in the third period to earn their first victory of the 2016-17 season in their 2-1 win against the South Carolina Stingrays (0-2-1-0) on Thursday night at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.

After a scoreless first period, Olivier Archambault gave South Carolina the initial lead during a second period power play when he blasted a shot from the hashes past Ryan Massa at the 11:09 mark.

Orlando responded with a power-play goal of its own at 4:11 into the third period when Brett Findlay wristed a shot from the left circle past Parker Milner to tie the score.

Further along in the period, Massa came up big for Orlando with breakaway stops on Archambault and Dominic Monardo to keep the Stingrays at bay.

The Solar Bears completed the comeback when Patrick Watling jammed a loose puck through the pads of Milner at 13:28 for the eventual game-winning tally.

Massa recorded the win with 23 saves on 24 shots against; Milner took the loss with 27 stops on 29 shots.
