12 Solar Bears players invited to Toronto Marlies training camp

Orlando's AHL affiliate opens training camp on Monday, Oct. 3

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears are pleased to announce that 12 players who had previously agreed to terms with the club for the 2016-17 season have been invited to attend the training camp of the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.

Orlando's AHL affiliate opens training camp on Monday, Oct. 3 at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence in Etobicoke, Ontario, before departing for Newfoundland and Labrador later that week for a three-game exhibition series against the St. John's IceCaps.

The Solar Bears players invited to Toronto Marlies training camp are:

FORWARDS: Adam Brace, Connor Gaarder, Denver Manderson, Johnny McInnis, Bryan Moore, Sebastien Sylvestre and Patrick Watling

DEFENSEMEN: Eric Baier, Chris Bradley and Taylor Doherty

GOALTENDERS: Ryan Massa and Jay Williams

Doherty and Massa had initially attended the training camp of Orlando’s NHL affiliate, the Toronto Maple Leafs, before being reassigned to Marlies camp on Sept. 27.

The Solar Bears drop the puck on their fifth season of ECHL hockey on Saturday, Oct. 22 against the Florida Everblades at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center as part of Orlando United Night, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T.
