March 5, 2016 BAIER RETURNS TO SOLAR BEARS FROM HEATOrlando's Captain Back from Try-Out with AHL StocktonMANCHESTER, N.H. – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, have announced that veteran defenseman and captain Eric Baier has been released from his Professional Try-Out Agreement with the AHL’s Stockton Heat. Baier, 27, returns from his second trip to the AHL of the season, during which time he recorded no points for the Heat in his lone appearance on Mar. 1 at San Jose. He also appeared in one game with the Marlies earlier this season, in which he logged one assist. In 52 games with the Solar Bears this season, Orlando’s captain has tallied 32 points (8g-24a) and six penalty minutes. Baier is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Solar Bears continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T.
