January 8, 2016 SOLAR BEARS ADD NICKLAS LINDBERGForward Brings 658 Games of Pro North American Experience to OrlandoORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, have announced that the team has added veteran forward Nicklas Lindberg. Lindberg, 35, joins the Solar Bears after suiting up with the Indy Fuel in the 2014-15 season, recording 27 points (9g-18a) and 26 penalty minutes in 38 games. Since coming to North America to play professionally beginning in the 2004-05 season with the Pensacola Ice Pilots, the native of Stockholm, Sweden has played in 658 combined games with Pensacola (ECHL), Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), Corpus Christi Rayz (CHL), Port Huron Icehawks (IHL), Evansville IceMen (CHL), Bloomington Blaze (CHL), St. Charles Chill (CHL) and Indy (ECHL), posting 561 points (175g-386a) and 595 penalty minutes. Lindberg will wear No. 18 for the Solar Bears and is expected to be in the lineup tonight when they take on the Wheeling Nailers at 7:35 p.m. from WesBanco Arena as Orlando continues its fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T.
