ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning, have agreed to terms with forward Zach Faremouth for the 2026-27 season, the team announced today.
Faremouth, 26, joins the Solar Bears after splitting the 2025-26 season with the Greensboro Gargoyles and Bloomington Bison, where he recorded 21 points (10g-11a) in 70 games. The 6-foot-3, 212-pound forward also appeared in four Kelly Cup Playoff Games with Bloomington.
Prior to his professional career, Faremouth spent four seasons at Ferris State University, appearing in 126 games. The Jackson, MI native tallied 35 points (17g-18a) and 111 penalty minutes. He also spent four seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with Fargo Force, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Des Moines Buccaneers. During his junior career, he appeared in 150 USHL games totaling 54 points and recording 251 penalty minutes, establishing himself as a physical, hard-nosed forward.
