ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears were victorious in all three games this past week, knocking off the Worcester Railers twice and the Florida Everblades in a crucial South Division matchup.

Led by a two-goal performance from veteran forward Darik Angeli, the Solar Bears held on for a 3-2 win at Kia Center. Mitchell Hoelscher added two assists in the game and goaltender Brandon Halverson made 33 stops.
Wednesday, February 14 at Florida: 4-3 W SO
The Solar Bears opened up a two-goal, first period lead Wednesday night on goals from Alex Frye and Darik Angeli, but saw the Everblades respond with three goals in the second period to take the lead back. Orlando tied the game in the third period on a Jimmy Mazza goal and won the shootout with goals from Alex Frye and Jesse Jacques to secure the two points.
Thursday, February 15 vs. Worcester: 4-0 W
The Solar Bears dominated from start to finish on Thursday, shutting out the Worcester Railers 4-0. Alex Frye, Mitchell Hoelscher, Darik Angeli, and Jimmy Mazza scored goals for the Solar Bears, and Brandon Halverson earned his first ECHL shutout of the season with 36 saves.
Monday, February 19 vs. Worcester: 2-4 L
The Solar Bears never led on Monday afternoon, as Worcester snapped Orlando's three-game winning streak with a 4-2 decision at Kia Center. The Railers tallied three, first period goals to get out in front, but the Solar Bears fought back to get within one goal in the third period. With the net empty, Worcester added a fourth goal and hung on to salvage one game in this three-game series. Luke Boka and Darik Angeli scored for Orlando in the defeat.
