ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have agreed to terms with defenseman Matthew Sredl an ECHL Standard Player Contract for the 2022-23 season.
Sredl (SHRED-uhl), 20, saw time in both the major junior and professional ranks last season, recording three points (2g-1a) in 19 games with the Ontario Hockey League’s Barrie Colts before joining the Worcester Railers, where he collected three assists in 36 games.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound blueliner also has an additional 18 games of European pro experience under his belt, notching nine points (2g-7a) in 18 games with SK Lejon of Sweden’s HockeyEttan.
The Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan native’s spent his entire junior career in the OHL with Barrie, where he posted nine points (6g-3a) in 94 games.
