Solar Bears announce Publix as their official supermarket

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have announced the launch of its collaboration with local grocery store chain Publix® Super Markets for the 2022-23 season. As part of this new relationship, Publix will gain the distinction as the official supermarket of the Solar Bears and an official postgame meal provider for the club.

“Publix is an extremely active member of the Central Florida community, and we are grateful for their support of our hockey team and our fans,” Solar Bears president Chris Heller said. “Publix has been a tremendous supporter of professional sports in the region, and we are excited to have them as part of our Solar Bears family.”

As part of this new affiliation, during games this season Publix will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Solar Bears pre-game show and between-period intermissions at Solar Bears home games. Additionally, Publix will be featured prominently in the Solar Bears promotional calendar as the presenting sponsor of both Noche Latina (Latin Night) and Food Fest events.

Publix and the Solar Bears are also excited to announce the launch of a new Kids Club, with further details to be revealed closer to the start of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Solar Bears open the 2022-23 season on the road when they visit the Jacksonville Icemen at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. Orlando’s home opener at the AdventHealth Rink at Amway Center is Sunday, Oct. 23 vs. Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m.
