ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Ross Olsson has signed a Professional Try-Out agreement with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.
Olsson, 27, was acquired by the Solar Bears in a trade with the Worcester Railers on March 24, and collected seven points (2g-5a) in 10 games with Orlando following the trade. He finished the season with 35 points (21g-14a) in 51 games, establishing new offensive career highs in goals, assists and points. His 118 penalty minutes were 10th among league forwards and his 10 power-play goals were tied for sixth in among all skaters. Olsson also made his AHL debut, appearing in two games with the Bridgeport Islanders.
