ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that goaltender Ty Taylor has signed a Professional Try-Out agreement with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Taylor, 22, has appeared in one game with the Solar Bears, making his pro debut in a relief effort on Feb. 27 vs. Greenville, making eight saves on nine shots against in 25:46 of action. Taylor signed with the Solar Bears on Feb. 24 after beginning the season the Grant MacEwan University Griffins of Canadian U Sports athletics.
The Richmond, British Columbia native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round, 214th overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft.
