ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that goaltender Ty Taylor has signed a Professional Try-Out agreement with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Taylor, 22, has appeared in one game with the Solar Bears, making his pro debut in a relief effort on Feb. 27 vs. Greenville, making eight saves on nine shots against in 25:46 of action. Taylor signed with the Solar Bears on Feb. 24 after beginning the season the Grant MacEwan University Griffins of Canadian U Sports athletics.

The Richmond, British Columbia native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round, 214th overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft.

NEXT GAMES: Orlando continues its four-game road trip when the team visits the Atlanta Gladiators on Tuesday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at Gas South Arena. The Solar Bears return home to host Florida on Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the AdventHealth Rink at Amway Center for a Thirsty Thursday, featuring $5 domestic draft beers.
