DULUTH, Ga. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced the signing of rookie defenseman Callum Hofford to an Amateur Try-Out agreement (ATO).
Hofford, 26, joins the Solar Bears after completing his senior season with Salem State University, where he led his team in scoring with 19 points (6g-13a) in 26 games.
In 109 career games with the Vikings, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound blueliner racked up 72 points (27g-45a) and 50 penalty minutes. His 72 career points are tied for the most by a defenseman in program history. As a freshman, the Woodbridge, Ontario native helped Salem State capture the Massachusetts State Athletic Conference tournament title.
