TONIGHT: The Orlando Solar Bears (26-28-5-1) face the Atlanta Gladiators (28-28-1-2) in the 10th of 11 meetings. Orlando has a 4-3-2-0 record against Atlanta but is tied with the Gladiators in points in the head-to-head series by virtue of Orlando picking up two overtime points against Atlanta.

PLAYOFF PICTURE: The Solar Bears enter tonight’s game in fifth place in the South Division; with Greenville idle tonight, Orlando can jump back into fourth place with a regulation or overtime win over Atlanta.

OLSON CARRIES POINT STREAK INTO GAME: Trevor Olson will look to extend his current point streak to three games tonight. The sophomore forward has 2g-1a over his last two matches and is tied for the team lead in scoring against Atlanta with 11 points (4g-7a) in eight games. Olson’s goal in Wednesday’s game against Greenville moved him into a tie with Jacob Cepis and Brady Vail for fourth on the team’s all-time goals leaderboard; Brett Findlay occupies the No. 3 spot with 38.

MAKE IT FOUR: The Solar Bears’ season-high for goals scored in a single period is four; it has been achieved five separate times this season, with four of these instances coming against the Gladiators.

SPECIAL TEAMS GLANCE: Orlando has gone 9-for-25 (25.75%) with the man advantage against Atlanta this season. The nine power-play goals account for over one quarter of Orlando’s power-play conversions this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Atlanta carries an eight-game point streak 7-0-0-1 into tonight’s game, the largest active point streak in the ECHL. Eric Neiley leads the Gladiators in scoring against Orlando with 12 points (7g-5a) in nine games.
