ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the team has reached an agreement with Graham Media Group to air two Solar Bears home games on WKMG News 6 during the 2018-19 season. The station will televise the following game dates:
- Saturday, Dec. 29 vs. Jacksonville Icemen – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 23 vs. Greenville Swamp Rabbits – 7 p.m.
“We are excited to once again be the ‘Official Station of the Orlando Solar Bears,’” said Jeff Hoffman, VP/General Manager of WKMG-TV. “Sports are more than just entertainment. It’s a connection that people have to their community. The Solar Bears Get Results on and off the ice and we’re honored to be a part of their commitment to Central Florida.”
Play-by-play duties will be handled by Solar Bears director of communications and broadcasting Jesse Liebman, now in his fourth season with the organization. Former Solar Bears defenseman and captain and video coordinator Eric Baier will join Liebman in the booth to provide color commentary. Jamia Erban, the team’s in-arena host, will provide interviews and rink-side reports during the game.
