ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Troy Bourke has been reassigned to Orlando by the Syracuse Crunch, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Bourke, 24, has recorded two penalty minutes in four games with the Crunch this season. The 5-foot-10, 178-pound forward has skated in 247 career pro games with the Lake Erie Monsters, San Antonio Rampage, Fort Wayne Komets, Adirondack Thunder and Syracuse, producing 106 points (39g-67a) and 106 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, the native of Edmonton, Alberta played major junior hockey for the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League. In 276 games, Bourke collected 236 points (84g-152a) and 179 penalty minutes.
Bourke was a third-round selection by the Colorado Avalanche (#72 overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
