ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the club has acquired rookie defenseman Zach Todd from the Tulsa Oilers in exchange for forward Robbie Baillargeon.
Todd, 25, enters his first full season of professional hockey after signing with the Oilers this summer, following a brief stint with the Atlanta Gladiators at the end of the 2017-18 season. In four games with Atlanta, the 5-foot-10, 181-pound blueliner recorded one goal.
Prior to turning pro, the Holden, Massachusetts native played college hockey for Mercyhurst University, where he collected 53 points (10g-43a) and 64 penalty minutes in 104 games for the Lakers program.
Baillargeon, 24, appeared in eight games with Orlando last season and recorded four assists and four penalty minutes after his acquisition from the South Carolina Stingrays. He re-signed with Orlando on Aug. 23.
