ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears agreed to terms with forward Christophe Lalancette after acquiring his rights from the Tulsa Oilers in exchange for forward Kyle Rankin.
Lalancette, 24, played in 15 games for Tulsa during an injury-shortened season, logging five assists and two penalty minutes. In 147 career pro games, all with the Oilers, the 6-foot, 190-pound forward has produced 74 points (23g-51a) and 72 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, the Quebec City, Quebec native played major junior hockey for the Drummondville Voltigeurs and Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, recording 190 points (61g-129a) and 126 penalty minutes in 237 games.
Lalancette was a fourth-round selection (#109 overall) of the San Jose Sharks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Rankin, 25, recorded eight points (2g-6a) and 51 penalty minutes in 59 games with Orlando during the 2017-18 season.
