Orlando to host Central Florida K-12 students on Tuesday, Nov. 6 vs. Jacksonville with special 10:30 a.m. start
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears will host their third annual School Day Game on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. against the Jacksonville Icemen at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
All Central Florida K-12 schools are invited to spend the morning with Orlando’s professional hockey team in a field trip atmosphere, where students will enjoy a unique educational experience while witnessing the fast-paced action of live ice hockey. Students will receive hockey-related educational materials that are consistent with STEM standards and cover math, science, geography and more.
A complimentary lunch will be provided for all students in attendance.
“Our School Day Game has become an annual highlight of our regular season schedule over the past two seasons, and we are excited to grow this event heading into its third year,” Solar Bears President Chris Heller said. “We are thrilled to once again provide a fun learning environment for our Central Florida students, many of whom will be experiencing a live ice hockey game for the very first time.”
Although the School Day Game is geared towards school groups, Solar Bears Season Ticket Members and the general public are still welcome and encouraged to attend the day’s events. Season Ticket Members who are unable to attend the morning game will be able to exchange their ticket(s) for a future 2017-18 Solar Bears regular season home game.
