ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Jean Dupuy and defenseman Alex Gudbranson have been reassigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s AHL affiliate. Additionally, forward Hunter Fejes has been released from his Professional Try-Out Agreement with Toronto and has been returned to the Solar Bears.
Dupuy, 23, recorded 24 points (9g-15a) and 35 penalty minutes in 33 regular season games with Orlando. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound forward also notched three goals and eight penalty minutes in 17 contests with Toronto.
Gudbranson, 23, registered 15 points (4g-11a) and 63 penalty minutes in 40 regular season games with the Solar Bears. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound blueliner also suited up in three games with the Marlies.
Fejes, 23, returns to the Solar Bears, where he logged 32 points (14g-18a) and 47 penalty minutes with Orlando following a Jan. 2 trade with the Wheeling Nailers. The 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward appeared in four games with Toronto over the course of two try-outs with the Marlies.
The Solar Bears will meet the South Carolina Stingrays for the first time in the Kelly Cup Playoffs when the teams drop the puck on Game 1 of the South Division Semifinals on Thursday, April 12 at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Orlando will host the following games at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center:
- Game 3 – Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m.
- Game 4 – Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m.
- Game 5 – Sunday, April 22 at 6 p.m. (if necessary)
