Hunter Fejes returns from Toronto Marlies

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Hunter Fejes has been released from his Professional Try-Out Agreement with the Toronto Marlies, Orlando’s AHL affiliate, and has returned to the team.

Fejes, 23, appeared in two games with Toronto after signing a PTO with the Marlies on March 22. Fejes returns to Orlando, where he has generated 28 points (11g-17a) and 43 penalty minutes in 33 games since the Solar Bears acquired the second-year pro from the Wheeling Nailers on Jan. 2.

In 113 total ECHL games with Orlando, Wheeling and Rapid City, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound Fejes has amassed 93 points (45g-48a) and 101 penalty minutes. The Anchorage, Alaska native has also skated in 31 career AHL games, generating five points (1g-4a) and 23 penalty minutes with the Marlies, Tucson Roadrunners and Springfield Falcons.

Fejes was a sixth-round selection (#178 overall) of the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The Solar Bears have clinched a spot in the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs and will continue their pursuit of locking up third place in the South Division when they battle the Jacksonville Icemen tonight at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center at 7 p.m. – Thursday’s game is a Thirsty Thursday, presented by Coors Light, featuring $5 domestic draft beers during the game. Thursday’s game is also College Night – fans who bring a valid student and photo ID to the Amway Center Box Office can purchase tickets starting as low as $5. Single-game tickets for the 2017-18 season are now on sale at the Amway Center box office and ticketmaster.com.
