Reichenbach blanks Solar Bears

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears (11-13-4-0) could not survive a lengthy 5-on-3 penalty kill late in the second period as Alex Pompeo netted the eventual game-winner to push the Norfolk Admirals (9-17-1-0) past Orlando by a 2-0 score on Thursday night at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.

Pompeo’s goal came with just three seconds remaining in simultaneous penalties to Orlando’s Joe Perry and Max Novak at 15:17 of the second period, while Norfolk’s Ty Reichenbach recorded 43 saves for the shutout.
