TODAY: The Solar Bears (10-10-3-0) play their lone match of the season against the Kalamazoo Wings (8-8-1-1), who are coming off a 5-2 win last night against Quad City. Orlando sports an 8-5-3-0 record against Kalamazoo in the ECHL, with a 4-4-1-0 record at Wings Event Center.
SIBLING RIVALRY RENEWED: After playing in his 900th career pro game on Thursday against Cincinnati, Solar Bears veteran forward Darryl Bootland now prepares to play against his older brother, Wings head coach Nick Bootland. Darryl played under Nick during the 2009-10 and 2011-12 campaigns.
POSPISIL CONTINUES SHARPSHOOTING: With a two-goal performance on Thursday, Kristian Pospisil increased his shooting percentage this season to 31.8% (7-for-22). He leads all rookies and is third overall in league shooting percentage.
DUPUY LEADING ROAD TRIP: Since Nov. 28, Jean Dupuy has led Orlando on the current road trip with nine points (2g-7a) over the last six games. The third-year pro also reached 50 career points (18g-32a) with his three-point effort for the Solar Bears against Cincinnati on Thursday.
