TODAY: The Solar Bears (2-8-2-0) wrap up their three-game road trip with an afternoon battle against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (9-3-2-0). The Swamp Rabbits saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end last night with a 4-3 overtime loss against the South Carolina Stingrays.
WINQUIST STILL STREAKING: A correction to Friday’s box score resulted in Joshua Winquist receiving credit for a secondary assist on Nolan Valleau’s power-play goal, extending Winquist’s point streak to five games (2g-6a).
VALLEAU PERFORMING ON SPECIAL TEAMS: Valleau’s goal on the man advantage was the defenseman’s second power-play goal this season; the blueliner is tied for second among Eastern Conference defensemen in power-play goals, and has added three assists on power-play goals as well.
