TONIGHT: The Solar Bears (2-3-0-0) seek their first home ice victory of the season by taking on their in-state rivals, the Florida Everblades (6-1-0-0). Florida leads the South Division thanks to reeling off four consecutive wins over Atlanta and a victory over the Indy Fuel last Wednesday. This will be the first meeting between the Solar Bears and Everblades since the 2017 South Division Semifinals in April.

VALLEAU CLIMBING: Nolan Valleau’s first goal of the season on Sunday afternoon against Atlanta has put him into a tie with eight other defensemen for the fourth-highest point totals by a defenseman in the league (1g-4a), and the third-year pro is in the midst of a three-game point streak.

PERRY SEEKING FIRST GOAL: Joe Perry led the Solar Bears against the Everblades during the 2016-17 regular season with six goals; the forward is still looking for his first goal of the 2017-18 season with Orlando.

HOME PENALTY KILL FACES TOUGH TEST: Orlando’s penalty kill will face a formidable opponent tonight, as the Everblades lead the ECHL with a road power play unit that’s converting at a 40% rate through two games (4-for-10).

STREAKS:

  • Nolan Valleau – 3-game point streak (1g-3a)
  • Josh Winquist – 3-game point streak (2-1ag)

MILESTONE TRACKER:

  • Joe Perry – needs 1 goal for sole possession of third place in franchise history (tied with Jacob Cepis and Brady Vail with 35)
  • Mike Monfredo – needs 4 points for 150 career pro points
  • Josh Winquist – needs 2 goals for 50 career professional goals

AFFILIATE NOTES: The Toronto Marlies (6-3-0-0) look to avenge a loss to the Laval Rocket on Sunday as they complete a home-and-home duel at 7:30 p.m. The Toronto Maple Leafs (7-5-0-0) fell to the San Jose Sharks in Patrick Marleau’s return to the Bay Area on Monday, and take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Honda Center at 10 p.m.
