ALLEN, Texas – Kristian Pospisil scored for the second straight game, and Aleksandr Mikulovich scored in his season debut for the Orlando Solar Bears (1-1-0-0), but the Allen Americans (3-0-0-0) enjoyed a third period surge from its special teams, as Orlando fell by a 6-2 score on Saturday night at the Allen Event Center.

- Kasimir Kakisuo was tested often in the first period, but did an excellent job foiling the likes of Allen’s Spencer Asuchak and Vincent Arseneau, who consistently attempted to crowd the Orlando crease.
- Kristian Pospisil continued his strong play to start the seasonwith a second-period goal that got Orlando on the board at 8:15 after Allen had opened up a 2-0 lead on the Solar Bears. J.J. Piccinich set up Pospisil above the left circle, and the Slovakian rookie blasted a shot that beat Riley Gill at the left post.
- Aleksandr Mikulovich buried a shot through traffic at 8:51 of the third period to give Orlando its second goal of the game, with Piccinich earning an assist on the goal.
