ESTERO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears (0-2-0-0) wrapped up their 2017 preseason schedule with a 5-2 loss to the Florida Everblades (2-0-0-0) on Sunday afternoon at Germain Arena.

ON THE SCORESHEET

  • Todd Skirving deflected Kristian Pospisil’s shot from the point past Callum Booth at 9:08 of the second period to cut Orlando’s 2-0 deficit in half.
  • After Florida re-took a two-goal edge thanks to a power-play marker from Clark Seymour at 4:18 of the third period, Mike Vaskivuo answered for Orlando when he netted his second of the preseason by blasting a shot from the right circle that beat Booth at the low left post at 5:17.
  • Florida had three players with three-point nights, as Seymour (1g-2a), Steven Lorentz (2g-1a) and Joe Cox (1g-2a) paced the scoring for the hosts.

  • Orlando now prepares for its first game of the 2017-18 regular season on Oct. 14 at Jacksonville.
