Orlando’s AHL affiliate opens training camp today
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears are proud to announce that 12 players who have previously agreed to terms with the club for the 2017-18 season have been invited to attend the training camp of Orlando’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
Toronto opened its training camp today at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence in Etobicoke, Ontario.
The Solar Bears invited to Toronto Marlies training camp are:
FORWARDS: Chris Crane, Troy Crema, Kenton Helgesen, Chris LeBlanc, Jeremy Olinyk, Joe Perry, Kyle Rankin and Todd Skirving
DEFENSEMEN: Sam Jardine, Mike Monfredo and Nolan Valleau
GOALTENDERS: Matt Hackett
Jardine and Valleau had also initially attended the training camp of Orlando’s NHL affiliate, the Toronto Maple Leafs, before being reassigned to the Marlies on Sept. 17.

The Orlando Solar Bears drop the puck on their 2017-18 home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 28 against the Atlanta Gladiators at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center. Single-game tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Amway Center box office and ticketmaster.com at 10 a.m.
