ORLANDO, Fla. – Community gatherings and volunteer activities will take place on Monday, June 12 as part of “Orlando United Day” to commemorate those who senselessly lost their lives at the Pulse Nightclub one year ago.
Since that tragic and horrifying night, the city of Orlando has bonded together. The love, care and kindness shown in the past year has fortified the entire community.
The series of organized events scheduled for Monday will be a day of congregation and compassion. People will gather with the purpose of honoring the victims and showing continued support for the survivors.

One Orlando Collection and Digital Gallery
Time: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Description: Displays of items collected at Pulse memorial sites in their current state in preservation. Curated pieces feature community artwork and international support.
Unveiling of the Sea-to-Sea Flag
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Orange County Administration Center400 E South St, Orlando, FL 32801
Description: At the direction and request of Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, Section 93 of the legendary Sea-to-Sea Rainbow Flag was originally displayed in tribute to the lives taken at Pulse and in support of freedom lovers worldwide.
Reflections and Remembrance
Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Description: Community speakers, reflective prayers, a reading of the 49 names, a display of 49 wreaths and music by Violectric. The Inspiration Orlando mural, our Angel Force, Hang-a-Heart, Stars of Hope and comfort dogs will be present.
Orlando Love: Remembering Our Angels
Time: 7 p.m.

Description: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, Orlando Commissioner Patty Sheehan, host a remembrance ceremony that includes remarks, musical performances by Olga Tañón and Sisaundra Lewis, and a reading of the 49 names.
Moments of Hope and Healing
Time: 10 p.m. – Midnight

Description: A series of prayer, live music, inspirational dance and reflection.

Pulse Memorial Hunger Project
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Description: Help to package 10,000 meals in honor of the 49 victims — for a total of 490,000 meals. The nutritious meals will be distributed to the victims' home countries, helping to transform this day of despair into a day of love and service.
