Solar Bears to host EA: NHL 17® Xbox One tournament on Oct. 29

The Orlando Solar Bears are on the hunt to find the best of the best, when it comes EA’s NHL 17® video game, that is. Earlier this summer, EA Sports and the ECHL announced that all 27 ECHL clubs - including the Solar Bears - will be featured in NHL 17®, allowing fans to play as the Solar Bears in the popular video game series for the first time.

To celebrate the occasion, the Solar Bears will host an NHL 17® tournament on Saturday, Oct. 29, prior to the Solar Bears game that evening against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7 p.m. The event is scheduled to kick-off at 10 a.m., with a bracket-style, single-elimination tournament at the Amway Center, and over $2,500 in cash and prizes up for grabs!

The winner of the Solar Bears NHL 17® tournament will be eligible to compete in a league-wide NHL 17® tournament conducted by the ECHL.  for further details of the ECHL NHL 17® tournament.
