JOHN CURRY RECALLED TO IOWA WILDGoaltender Heads Back to AHL AffiliateOrlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that G John Curry has been recalled to the Iowa Wild. Curry returned to the Solar Bears last week and turned in a 29 save performance to help Orlando defeat the Florida Everblades on Monday. He has played in 13 games for the Solar Bears this season, collected a 2.66 GAA, .917 save percentage, and 10-2-0 record. He was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for November 4-10 when he posted a 2-0-0 record, 2.00 GAA, and .943 save percentage. In his Solar Bears career, Curry has compiled a 27-13-2 record with a 2.76 GAA and .912 save percentage. He has won each of his last four starts for the Solar Bears dating back to December 8. The native of Shorewood, MN, has played three games for Iowa this year, putting up a 2-1-0 record to go along with a 1.96 GAA and .939 save percentage. He has played 181 games in the American Hockey League, earning a 2.47 GAA and .908 save percentage to go along with a 105-60-7 record.
