Rookie Forward Joins Orlando Roster
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today thatthey have agreed to terms with forward Dan Dries.Dries (6'0", 194 lbs.) played 13 games this season, his firstfull professional campaign, with Ilves of the Finish eliteleague (SM-liiga), notching one assist. He also skated in ninegames for the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League (AHL) at the end of lastseason, where he picked up one goal and two assists.Prior to turning pro, Dries played four seasons in the NCAA,two with the University of New Hampshire (2007-09) and two withOhio State University (2010-2012). In 135 collegiate games, theLake Orion, Michigan, native scored 49 goals and 49 assists for98 points. He picked up 28 points during his Freshman year withNew Hampshire in 2007-08, finishing fifth on the team inpoints.
