RDV Sportsplex Ice Den House League players to sport special Solar Bears jerseys
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have entered into a partnership with the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den. The Ice Den is the Home and Official Training Center of the Orlando Solar Bears.
Starting this Fall, RDV House League Hockey Teams playing at the Ice Den will wear brand new jerseys with the new ‘Orlando Solar Bears House League’ crest. Eight different jerseys have been created and will be worn by 20 different teams and over 200 players in the Fall, Winter, and Spring leagues. As part of the agreement House League players will have the opportunity to participate in clinics hosted by Solar Bears coaches and players. In addition, House League teams and RDV Sportsplex Figure Skaters will play and perform during intermissions at Solar Bears home games.
Both the Solar Bears and the RDV Sportsplex will gain increased visibility, as RDV will have a presence at the Amway Center during select games, while the Solar Bears will display signage throughout the Ice Den.
Jason Siegel, Team President and Managing Partner, said, “We are committed to growing hockey in Central Florida. Partnerships with the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, the Space Coast IcePlex in Rockledge, and Daytona Ice Arena help us take positive steps in that direction.”
“We hope all of the kids will wear their Solar Bears House League jersey with pride,” stated Solar Bears Head Coach Drake Berehowsky. “Our coaching staff and players are certainly looking forward to skating with the kids and running a practice or two during the season.”
“We are excited to partner with the Orlando Solar Bears,” said RDV Sportsplex Ice Den Director Debby Kwasman. “The jerseys look amazing and we can’t wait to see our players wearing them on the ice.”
