ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears are asking their fans and supporters to join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Community Food and Outreach Center’s initiative to help Central Florida families who are in need due to the NBA lockout through NBALockoutRelief.org.
“We are thrilled that the NBA lockout has ended and our friends at the Magic will be back on the court soon,” said Bob Ohrablo, Managing Partner/Chief Operating Officer of the Orlando Solar Bears. “However, with games starting the end of December, these families will need our continued support during the Holiday season.”
The Haleski Foundation, run by Solar Bears partner Joseph Haleski, has pledged a $20,000 donation on behalf of the Solar Bears and the team’s fans.
“We have been blessed by the response of Central Florida sports fans and want to give back to our community,” said Haleski. “The people who benefit from this program are hard working members of our team and we ask our fans to support them as well.”
