ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, unveiled the mask that will be worn by the Kent PattersonOrlando Solar Bears goaltenders during the 2015 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Visit Orlando. The Orlando Solar Bears and the ECHL commissioned the mask for the All-Star Classic from Dennis Simone Studios and Head Strong  Grafx.

“Dennis Simone and Jason Livery did a terrific job with the design and painting of the mask,” said Orlando Solar Bears President/CEO Jason Siegel.

“Designing this mask was a thrill for me. The colors are vibrant, the logos are exciting and I had fun with the design process. We wanted to incorporate the Amway Center and Lake Eola yet only use the colors that were in the logo. So I used a Duotone process for the photos which allowed me to tint the photos purple” said the designer of the  mask Dennis Simone. “I submitted a few designs and we all agreedGoalie Mask Side A this was the most exciting. This is not the first goalie mask I did for the Orlando Solar Bears. I did one for Scott LaGrand back in the 90’s.”

“I loved painting this mask. This was a great opportunity to use some colors that I don’t normally use on team masks,” said Jason Livery of Head Strong Grafx. “I think the results are amazing. This mask is going to look great under the lights. It was also a chance to welcome the ECHL and The Orlando Solar bears to the Head Strong Grafx family.”

Each Solar Bears goaltender will wear a special All-Star mask during the ECHL All-Star Classic at the Amway Center on Wednesday, January 21, at 7:00 p.m. One of the masks will be auctioned off to benefit Solar Bears Cares, the Orlando Solar Bears community program. Goalie Mask Side B
