Chairman & CEO
Joe Haleski has been the Chairman/Governor of the Orlando Solar Bears professional hockey team since its inception in 2011.
As a money management executive, he was Vice President, Managing Director, and Chief Operating Officer of Duquesne Capital Management, L.L.C. for 14 years before retiring from the industry in February 2011.
Haleski was in charge of managing the day-to-day operations for this very successful investment management firm. Duquesne Capital was a multi-billion dollar, multi-strategy investment management firm with offices in New York and Pittsburgh that managed money for clients from 1980-2010. Prior to joining the Investment Manager in 1996, he was Head of Operations and Corporate Secretary with the brokerage firm Rand International Securities, L.L.C.
Haleski is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 Coach and has worked with youth hockey organizations for over 10 years. He gained his experience coaching and managing travel and high school hockey teams in Pittsburgh before moving to Florida in 2011.
Joe and his wife Kate are both Binghamton University graduates and have strong family ties to the Orlando area. Their two children, Kristin and Ryan, are now pursuing a graduate MBA (Rollins College) and an undergraduate degree (UCF) respectively in Orlando. In addition, Joe’s parents, two siblings, and seven nieces and nephews all reside in the Orlando area. Joe and Kate now dedicate much of their time and effort to community service and to charitable endeavors through the Solar Bears and the Haleski Foundation.
Chris Heller is currently the President of the Orlando Solar Bears. He began his career with the Solar Bears in November of 2011 as the Director of Finance and Legal Services.
Heller previously worked as an attorney in Wheeling, WV. Heller earned his law degree at the West Virginia University College of Law in May of 2004. Originally hailing from Wheeling, WV, he earned a B.A. in Accounting in 1998 from Bethany College in West Virginia. He previously worked as an accountant in Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh, PA, for CroweChizek and PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1998 – 2001.

Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships
Michael began working at Sawtelle Travel Service in 1982 and eventually bought the company in 1994. Under his leadership the company grew and earned the American Express Representative Excellence Award numerous times as one of the top-20 travel agencies in the country with sales often exceeding $20,000,000 annually. In 2008, Kalinich transitioned to a career in sports accepting the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships at his hometown Binghamton University in upstate New York. Under his direction sales with corporate partners doubled.
Kalinich began working with the Solar Bears in October 2013 and is part of the Senior Management Team. His duties include creating marketing packages for corporate partners in delivering their messages to Solar Bears fans and the Central Florida community. During his professional career Kalinich has served on numerous boards in the New York area and nationally. Currently, he’s serving on the Board of Directors of the Christian Service Center for Central Florida.
He graduated from SUNY Broome Community College in 1981 with a degree in Business Management. Kalinich was a member of the Hornets ice hockey team and earned the Most Improved Player Award for the 1980-81 season. After graduation Kalinich furthered his education with a series of travel industry short-courses in New York, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Phoenix eventually earning the distinction of a Certified Travel Consultant from the Wellesley Institute in Massachusetts. Michael and Mylene Serrano-Kalinich have been married for 14 years and are raising two sons, Michael (8) and Maxwell (6). Mylene has been in banking for 13 years and is currently working with BB&T Bank in the Orlando area. Michael and Max are active in ice hockey, baseball and golf.

Mark began his career in sports at Binghamton University within the Athletic Department, working as a Sports Marketing Intern and Graduate Assistant. A Schenectady, NY native, Mark graduated from Binghamton University in 2011 and earned his MBA from Binghamton the following year, and now lives in Winter Park with his wife, Abigail. Mark has been with the team since the Solar Bears’ return to Orlando, and has worked within and led the Solar Bears Group Sales Department, and oversees the team’s game day presentation, including PA, music, video, and in-game entertainment.

Erin is from Peabody, Mass. and attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H. While in school she interned in the ticket office for the Lowell Spinners – the class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Upon graduating, she worked two years for the Worcester Sharks- the former AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, as a Season Ticket Account Executive. She joined the Solar Bears for the All-Star season in 2014-15 and this season marks her third with the team.

Jesse began working with the Solar Bears in August of 2015.
Prior to joining the Solar Bears, Jesse worked for the Ontario Reign, the affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings.
A native of Croton, N.Y., Jesse also worked at the Boston Globe and sports radio station WEEI while attending Emerson College in Boston, Mass., where he completed a degree in print and multimedia journalism. He has also worked for legendary Emmy Award-winning hockey historian and MSG broadcast personality Stan Fischler.

Zach is from West Chester, Penn. and attended Slippery Rock University. While in school, he played for the Slippery Rock University Men’s Ice Hockey team, a member of American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1. Prior to joining the Solar Bears, Zach worked for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

Dylan, originally from South Florida, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Business Management. He had spent the past few season interning and working part-time for the Solar Bears, which prepared him for his current role as a Group Ticket Sales Account Manager. Dylan’s passion and commitment for the sport can be seen in everything he does from his involvement in community events, his devotion to friends and family as well as his clients.
